1. NHR Dry Shampoo Growth Elixir

A non-powder, non-aerosol, multi-functional dry shampoo designed to cleanse the scalp between wash days, detangle the hair, protect the scalp, and support a healthy scalp environment. The formula uses tri-peptide/peptide technology and is intended to provide scalp cleansing without compromising scalp or hormonal health.

It may be especially useful for clients with thinning or fragile hair and for removing protective styles because it helps break down buildup around the base of braids, weaves, and crochet styles, making detangling and removal easier. The brand also identifies it for early presentations of traction alopecia, androgenetic alopecia, and CCCA. Use whenever you need to cleanse or exfoliate your scalp in between wash days.

Key ingredients: Apple cider vinegar, aloe vera, nettle, horsetail, sage, saw palmetto, pumpkin seed extract, cedarwood oil, eucalyptus oil, grapefruit seed extract, and Copper Tripeptide-1/GHK-Cu peptide.

For best results, the brand recommends applying a Rose Water Refresher first to provide water-based moisture, then following with the Moisture Seal-In Oil to help seal that hydration into the hair.

3. Lorielle Simms Beauty Rose Water

A true rose hydrosol created through traditional steam distillation. Rather than adding fragrance to water or simply boiling rose petals, fresh roses are distilled so that their naturally occurring water-soluble compounds are captured in the finished product.

The result is a lightweight, water-based product that can be used to refresh and add topical moisture to the hair before applying an oil or other moisture-sealing product. A gentle cleansing and conditioning formula developed for sensitive scalps and all hair types. It is positioned for clients experiencing concerns such as hair breakage, shedding, or scalp irritation, and the formula is gentle enough for babies according to the brand.

Because moisturizing and conditioning ingredients are incorporated directly into the shampoo, it can provide cleansing and conditioning benefits within one step.
